Highlights of the insect show

Live insects:

Dead insects:

Present was variety beyond belief. Butterflies and beetles from all over the world. Also, first time I had seen them were colorful blue, green and iridescent beetles in 'acrylic amber' as keychains. Dealers who specialize in custom cases and regular cases where there.

Supplies: Bioquip showed up, other boothes were selling really great bug books, including one that had a huge # of photos but was in Japanese.

T-shirts: the dealers mentioned above were there. Rick Rogers (see his page above), Columbine Design and some others. One lady selling t-shirts drew the artwork on Bioquips cover.

Cockroach races: more excitement than turtle or banana slug races!

Insect Death Squads were there, the Vector Control units of the county gov'ts. Ok, there are one or two insects we don't like such as mosquitos. Their booths were really educational.

The Cal-Poly college had a booth with some live bugs.
