Four O'clocks line the outsite fence by the garden in the middle of summer
amaranth ancient grain of South America I think, found in packaged cereals now
artichokes thistle family, shown here with the flower buds (what you eat) and after flowers open
banana tree actually a tree sized herb, the banana flowers and dies but suckers at the base continue. Cultivated banana trees rarely have any seeds. I bought some fruit mix including dried bananas and one of them had seeds inside. The seeds are small, black and spherical with an indentation on one side.
Basil plant: this herb is popular in our garden, and good in pasta sauces
