About the town of Lompoc:

A small town on the California coast, the sea breeze and fog keeps the growing conditions perfect for flowers and seed production. Some huge percent of the worlds flower seed comes from this small valley. It is also very pretty and interesting, and you drive thru oak studded hillsides on the way there.

Things to do along with the Flower Festival: Pretty parks to eat lunch in, the artistic full wall murals and a natural history museum all make for a fascinating and informative day. Also visit Ocean Beach

5. park in hills just south of town on San Miguelito Drive, great for a picnic & clean restrooms
