Lompoc Flower Festival

Usually the third weekend in June, for 1997 starts on Wed, June 25th and runs thru Sunday, June 29th. The Flower Festival is timed so that major crops of flowers will be in bloom. There are stripes of colors across miles of the valley, and mixed rainbows in some fields. If you have questions call the Chamber of Commerce at 805-736-4567.

Tours are available starting at Ryon Park, a mile west of where you come into town on on Ocean Blvd. Air conditioned buses take you around to fields and give you opportunity to buy seeds directly from farmers, and see seed production.

Vendors have all sorts of art and handicrafts for sale at the festival and there are carnival rides and lots of charity groups and restaurants selling food of every variety.

Live performers: bands and young gymnasts performed when we were there last time.
