Lompoc History Museum:

Staffed by volunteers, the museum is a small town beauty. Housed in a pretty victorian house near downtown, just a couple blocks south on north H street, it is marvelous for what it has: miniatures of indian villages, native animals and plants, history of the valley and the flower fields, Vandenberg.

The native indians of the area apparently had paradise, with clams, oaks for acorns, reeds to make basket, NO TAXES, NO SMOG and no television or internet access. Here are some pix:
